Rachel Goenka

Rachel Goenka is a young and seasoned entrepreneur, best known for her innovative delicacies and trademark desserts. She graduated with a double degree in Journalism and English from The Pennsylvania State University. Post her stint in journalism and advertising she realized her true calling and passion was in food and decided to turn her dream into a reality. She then attended The Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, where she trained under celebrity chef Rachel Allen, and then moved to Le Cordon Bleu in London to specialize in patisserie. She and Pabaney decided on taking their individual food philosophies and together have embarked on the journey that is The Sassy Spoon & Sassy Teaspoon

Irfan Pabaney

Irfan Pabaney has been at the helm of some of the most notable restaurants in his 25 years in the restaurant business. After being associated with various culinary brands, he finally decided to branch out on his own along with his partner and co-owner Chef Rachel
Goenka and the duo ventured out to start their dream restaurant and launched Sassy Teaspoon in May 2016

Amit Bhatia, Executive Chef

Chef Amit Bhatia began his culinary journey in 2007 after completing his diploma in Culinary Arts from London. He worked at The InterContinental & Apex Hotels in London before shifting his base back to Mumbai. He has worked at several notable restaurants like Le Pain Quotidien, 212 Bar & Grill and Levo and now manages kitchen operations as the Executive Chef at The Sassy Spoon, Sassy Teaspoon & Baraza

Nilesh Mandadkar, Pastry Chef

Chef Nilesh possesses a a decade of professional pastry experience, he started his work journey from Hotel Marine Plaza and his formative years included a stint at Yauatcha Mumbai as Assistant pastry chef. He has worked with several hotels and restaurant in Mumbai and abroad. He continues to push the boundaries of dessert with his elegant creations. His desserts are marked by interesting textures and thoughtful integration of savory and sweet
