Sassy Teaspoon is a chain of premium patisseries helmed by Rachel Goenka. Started in 2016, we have now grown to 12 outlets across Mumbai & Pune. We specialise in designer cakes and festive & corporate gifting. We are also known for our extensive range of celebration cakes, pastries, brownies, macarons, cupcakes & more!

The Chocolate Spoon Company Pvt. Ltd was incorporated in 2012 and launched its first restaurant, the multi-award-winning “The Sassy Spoon” in Nariman Point, South Mumbai. Spearheaded by Rachel Goenka, Founder & CEO, TCSC was established with the aim of introducing restaurants that offer an enjoyable, diverse and innovative dining experience. TCSC’s portfolio currently includes 7 restaurants, 2 central kitchens, a corporate catering vertical, and 2 cloud kitchens across Mumbai & Pune with more dining concepts & restaurants in the pipeline. TCSC’s restaurants include The Sassy Spoon, House of Mandarin, Baraza Bars & Bites as well as 2 cloud kitchens in Pune, Wicked China, and Saffron by The Sassy Spoon.

Founder & CEO of The Chocolate Spoon Company, Rachel Goenka is a young and seasoned entrepreneur, best known for her innovative delicacies and trademark desserts.

The driving force behind Sassy Teaspoon and an award winning author, Rachel Goenka has been instrumental in redefining how restaurants in India curated desserts. Trained under celebrity chef- Rachel Allen, she has specialised in patisserie from Le Cordon Bleu and also has a double degree in journalism and English from the Pennsylvania State University.

Rachel’s debut recipe book ‘Adventures with Mithai’ won the prestigious ‘Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2020’ and put India on the culinary roadmap for Pastry & Desserts. She is also a member of the Management Committee of the National Restaurants Association of India (NRAI) and has won numerous awards and accolades for being a path-breaking entrepreneur and for her contribution to building a more sustainable environment.
